Hi everybody!

I will probably move to Gaoming (Foshan's suburb) soon.
Coming from the North of China, I would like to ask the following question to people living in this region:
- Is Foshan a nice play to stay and live?
- Speaking mandarin, can I communicate easily over there with Chinese people or should I start learning Cantonese?
- Do they speak English, I mean better than in the North?
- Is there lots of foreigners? Some nice place to go out during we?

Foshan is near here zhongshan city and Jianmen city, macau, and zhuhai...

Hi there,
Coming from the south of China,I m in FOSHAN now.
Well,contonese are easy going,nice,friendly,dont worry abt that.

abt 30mins from Foshan downtown to GZ By subway,not bad.

so wish u hv good days in FOSHAN.

I think Gaoming is some distance away from the metro stations in Chancheng District. To me it is always a good idea to learn a bit local language/dialect to communicate with those people who can barely speak the official language.

Basically I have no idea about Gaoming. Hope you can get help from people living in the place.
