good day,

a person have given a letter of notice to his employer a month before the contract expire (fixed term contract).

given that the person will process his transfer after the expiration of contract, does he need to render another month at the old company or he can transfer to the new employer once the process in absher is complete?

thanks

No matter what.
You need your current employer to accept the request. And i think you are on the company visa.
It means you have no other privileges.

your response does not relate to the question...

what binds the employer and the employee is the contract that is a fact.
upon the expiration of the contract, on the old system, the employee cannot do anything (which what you are saying all the time).

then this new law was implemented (not fully operational but its there), the employee has the option to make decisions. the acceptance of the current employer for the transfer is irrelevant if the contract is done. as long as the employee trend the process very carefully, he/ she can transfer successfully.

a lot of expats have tried and some succeed and some dont. its all about how you play the game....
