Hello expats,

We are moving to Belgium with our 3 months son.

We have already started our vaccination schedule in Russia.

Because the polio vaccination is compulsory in Belgium, what should we provide to the doctor?

We don’t want to mix vaccination plans and don’t want to break the law.

Thanks!

Pavel

Welcome on our forum,

So long you're providing some official medical information of your child, the belgian doctor will be able to adapt the rest of his vaccination plan

Thank you for quick reply, Phipiemar!

But I’m just wondering: what if you arrive with the kid who is older than 18 months? Should you provide anything in that case?

https://www.one.be/public/

That's the official site for children in Belgium. You'll have to translate it.

From his birth to his majority, there is an official system put in place by the government for the follow-up of child care.

So do not worry about it, just come with his medical records.

Hi Pavel,

Follow one.be site provided by Phipiemar. You will find vaccination schedule and info here https://www.one.be/public/1-3-ans/sante … ation/?L=0

Also you can schedule a visit( https://www.one.be/public/rechercheone/ … cde26fdbf8 )  to consultation around your place of stay and they will guide you about the vaccination program here.

All you need to bring is your baby's medical history/records that show what vaccines are already done.

Good Luck
Regards,
VB
