I have read many posts in this forum and glad that most people are very happy to share their experience. I have been in Singapore for almost two years and now facing a very confusing situation:
2019 July 1 - my first EP effetive sponsored by Company A
2021 Apr 6 - Company A applied to renew my first EP
2021 May 5 - I applied for LTVP as my hubby is a SG PR, need to wait for 6 weeks for result
2021 May 5 - Company A EP renewal is still in progress (4 weeks already!!) and I confirm a new job offer and sign contract today with Company B
2021 May 24 or after - Company B will apply for a new EP for me (because they need to post the job ad for 28 days in total)
2021 July 1 - my current EP will expire so i need to have either a new EP or LTVP with LOC before this date
My notice period is 3 months for Company A. Company B is willing to wait for me till 1 Aug (around 3 months from now).
Company A in the past two years was not profitable, our entity has less than 4 employees and I was the only EP holder, while my salary stayed the same for the past 2 years.
Company B has a bigger size in terms of no. of employees and office space, and it provides me 7% higher basic salary.
Scenario 1:
If Company A's EP renewal drags till end of May, then i will request Company A to withdraw the renewal, then my last day will be 30 June. Will I get a STVP automatically for another 30 days or does Company A need to apply for this STVP for me? Company B is willing to move forward my 1st working day from 1 Aug to 1 July in the EP application in this situation, but of coz subject to the EP approval status.
Scenario 2:
My husband is Malaysian, also a SG PR. I have applid for LTVP under his sponsorship on 5 May. His salary is not very high as a sponsor so we think it is 50-50 I will get a LTVP approval. If LTVP is granted, I will ask Company B to apply for the LOC for my new job. Does anyone know for LTVP, if the AIP is issued, what is the time period I need to issue the LTVP pass? For EP i know the AIP is valid for 6 months but not sure about LTVP and i really want to find out.
Besides, if Company B is already applying for the EP for me while my LTVP is approved, can they apply for LOC at the same time without withdrawing the EP application?
Scenario 3:
If my LTVP does not get approved, and if Company A's EP renewal goes thru, then there will be no problem. I will have >2 months (from May 24 tp Aug 1) processing time for new EP to be approved after I resign and serve the 3 months notice period.
Thanks in advance for reading about my situation and sharing your insights!
Scenario 1: If your notice period is 3 months and your saying you will put your resignation by end of May then you need to serve 3 months notice period and your joining day will be first week of Sep’21 (not 30 June).
Yes, MoM gives by default 30 days of STVP which starts from last day in office
Scenario 2: IPA normally valid for next 6 months otherwise stated the date in IPA.
Employer B has to withdraw your workpass before applying LOC. At onetime, a single application can be processed. Good luck
Employer B is not allowed to offer you the job BEFORE the jobs bank posting (which is required to find local applicants, who must be hired first). Your contract with that employer is thus invalid.
And applying for multiple passes, although in the end you can only hold one, will just make things more complicated without increasing your chances. You should make up your mind first and then apply.
Keep that in mind for your further steps!

Thanks! I think it is better to sign another contract after the 28 days job posting. I will discuss with them to make this less risky.
Appreciate your advice, it is true I can only hold one pass. I didn't want to try so many ways either, just afraid that I might receive rejection on EP application and since the EP processing time is super long now, I might run out of time when I receive the EP rejection and it will be too late to apply for the LTVP (which takes 6-8 weeks now) and LOC (another 2-4 weeks).

Thank you! Will take note of the "a single application at a time".
For Scenario 1, I actually intend to resign now and serve my 3 months notice so I can join Company B on 1 Aug. Assumed that my EP renewal is rejected or withdrawn, my last working day in Company A will be 30 June. Is it safe I ask Company B to move forward my joining day to say 25 July (within the 30 days STVP period, no later than 30 July)?
The only safe way is to resign from your current job only AFTER you have a new job secured AND the required work pass approved. At the moment you have neither.
All other ways involve the danger that you have to return to your home country for a while - and with the current travel restrictions, this may mean a long while or forever.
You decide which risks you are willing to take!
7 Apr 2021 - submitted EP renewal
10 May 2021 - still pending...
Hi guys, finally got an update from MoM.
7 Apr 2021 - submitted renewal application
17 May 2021 - MoM requested company to submit financial statements of the past 3 years by EP online by 26 May
My company did not have an EP online account as we appointed a recruitment agency to renew the EP, now it would take another up to 7 days to get the EP online ready. My company asked MoM whether the recruitment agency can submit such document on our behalf and MoM insisted it should be submitted directly on EP online...
What is worse is that my company was not profitable in the past 3 years, loss making all the time...
I have a new job offer but they cannot proceed the EP application until my current renewal is done...sigh

EP Online account doesn’t take long, not sure who told you 7 days/ or up to 7 days. It’s almost instantaneous.

My COO called MoM to enquire about activating the EP online account and was told it will take a few days up to 7 days. He also checked with our relevant HR manager and HR told him according to experience it usually took 2-3 days before COVID.
Just to provide an update about the situation. I just got my PR approval (application process took 7 months) so I won’t be restricted to EP limitation now
