I just went to the clinic were I had the the test to leave and they said it's a antigen test I need. The same as leaving and the same price 25 leva. Negative 😁. Now I email the result to Sofia and quarantine ended hopefully.

Hi
Do you mean to say that you didn't need to obtain any type of negative test to fly from the UK back here?

Jules999

I work closely with the Embassies, they recommend that you follow the guidelines of the respected countries. If you have not been checked count yourself lucky. I know people that were not so lucky. So be warned

What do you mean you work closely with the embassies. Who are you?. I read all I could. I did NOT need a test to enter Bulgaria. The choice I had was to do 10 days quarantine or have a test within 24 hours. What do you mean I can count myself lucky. Nothing has changed except  arriving in the UK from 4.30am from the 4th of Oct. Enlighten me and other people wishing to travel why don't you?

SimCityAT, you work closely with the embassies and I have been warned? Then how come you don't keep people up to date then when they walk a minefield trying to keep track of all the rule changes. Let me inform you 7.000 posts? I have a 5 year residency card. I left and re-entered Bulgaria no problem without being vaccinated and I submitted a covid test the next day after my return. I sent this neg test away and received a reply. I still have to do the 10 day quarantine because the test I had and was informed by the clinic I needed was a antigen test. WRONG info!!! The test you need to not do quarantine is a PCR test. This info from pek17@srzi.bg   Sofia regional health Inspectorate. I am posting these things first hand and not what someone says happened to someone else. Just trying to help clear matters up. Thank you.

EVTRA. I have less than 2 days left to stay at home. If you return to Bulgaria with a recent PCR test I don't know if that qualifies for no quarantine. I now know you can't use a antigen test if you are not vaccinated. If you are then maybe different rules. I will leave that for SimCityAT to clarify. He works closely with the embassies so he should know. All I am posting is my situation just to let others know what happened.

EVTRA, Yes I totally agree. One Bulgarian can say one thing and another from the same dept says another. It happens in other situations. Maybe on another day It would be another test that is accepted. You can read too much from all these gov websites. 🙄
