Quarantine rules for family

Post new topic

Craig&family

Hello all, we are due to move to KL next month and I am seeing mixed information about quarantine when travelling as a family.

I read only two people per room was possible or only one adult and children can stay with either adult (or one with each parent).

I would have thought if we are travelling together and coming from the same place we can stay in a room for 4 all together?

Also I assume it makes no difference if you have a negative PCR test?

Any information appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Craig.
You could hear from the authorities directly. Download the MySejahtera app and call the number or chat/email.

Thanks for the advice.

Are the rules changing all the time? It seems hotels allow bookings for 4 people (with separate bedrooms).

By the end of July the rules may change after so many more vaccinations.

Hi Craig, you can request a family room if there is availability at the hotel. You can write to mysafetravel for this request, before you make any payment for your quarantine.

Hope this helps

It's really bad in KL right now. Some areas are beginning to look like Nazi concentration camps. I'd avoid travel if at all possible. your movement will be severely restricted even with a vaccine as only 6% of the country has been vaccinated for covid19. more info found in local papers https://bit.ly/2SN1N0N
