My employer have been applying for an entry approval since mid of April until now. My employer requested for July 28 the other day and now I received another email from my employer and again it was rejected. My employer requested another date on Aug 5 hoping to be approved. I have been rejected for like 15 times but they say keep on applying. I always received the same reason
The entry of pass holders needs to be staggered. This is to reduce the risk of importing COVID-19 and safeguard public health.
As the chances of an approval are very slim, please defer the pass holder's entry into Singapore until the situation has stabilised.
Will i ever get approved? And is anybody know how long in advance can i reapply? Do you have any advise for me? My salary is $1,800 sgd and i am from the Philippines.
Hi Joemel,
We have been applying as well for our staff who were unfortunately "stuck" in their home countries.
Your employer just have to keep on submitting -- and you just have to patiently wait
You may use this link (https://service2.mom.gov.sg/shn/when-to-apply-entry/) to know how many days in advance you can apply. There is no limit on how many times an employer can apply.
To share with you, I have a staff who we have applied maybe for 6 months now, and just recently got the approval to enter Singapore; he is from the Philippines too and is a Work Pass holder.
Good luck.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I always pray for it to get approve. I will try and try but would it be possible for you to give me the date you applied for your staff that got approved? Just for me to have an idea on when to apply. Like should i apply 2 months ahead or any advise is highly appreciated.
Thank you so much again ?
Hi Joemel,
Please use this link https://service2.mom.gov.sg/shn/when-to-apply-entry/ to know when you can apply. You need to enter the "planned date of arrival".
Note that applications for entry approval should be submitted at least two weeks from the planned date of entry and up to about two months in advance.
For your information, new entry approvals have been reduced or halted until further notice for all long term pass holders with travel history to higher-risk countries/regions (i.e. all countries/regions, except Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macao, Mainland China and New Zealand).
I guess in our case, we just got lucky.
Wow very lucky! I applied again today for Aug 5 date. Thank you so much for the stuff you shared.
Hi garceinpink,
Thank you for sharing this information.
I received my work pass, and was supposed to enter Singapore on May 23rd (entry of approval approved on April 23rd). But then around May 10th, Singapore tightened the border and cancel my entry of approval
My employer has not really tried to apply for the entry of approval again ever since. They told me that there is still no change or update from the Singapore government (i.e. ICA, MOM, etc.), so I should just wait and hang still.
I am really surprised to hear that you can have someone from Philippines to be approved with work pass to enter Singapore during this time, congratulations! (I am from Indonesia).
Do you think I should ask my employer to apply for entry of approval again? Is there a limit or red flag warning if applying for the entry of approval numerous times but rejected? I did not even know that there are still some companies applying for entry of approval to Singapore right now. As you mentioned, the entry of approval pass is currently halted for the high risk countries.
I would appreciate your suggestions. Thank you so much!

Hi newinsingapore123,
Yes, the employer also plays a big part as they are the one who submits the application. It is a tedious process filling out the forms, coordinating with staff, checking the Govt's new guidelines etc that's why some employers do not want to keep on trying.
There is no limit per se on the number of times that you can apply anyway. However, you should also keep a lookout on the new announcements of the government about Entry Approvals as guidelines change every now and then.
You are right, Singapore does not accept new entry applications for work pass holders from higher-risk countries and regions with immediate effect, but this restriction excludes workers needed for key strategic projects and infrastructural works (those under construction, marine shipyard and process industries).
Joemel: The reply from MoM is clear: You will not get entry approval (for the mentioned reason) until the pandemic situation stabilizes (and nobody knows when that will be). There is no point applying again and again before that!
In addition, the salary you mention is extremely low for Singapore standards. Maybe you can utilize the waiting time to look for better jobs?
Hi,
Thank you for the reply. That makes sense. I have been hearing on the news as well regarding the very much needed of work force for certain sector in Singapore.
Congratulations for getting the approval!
I hope to get mine soon.
The reason why my employer keeps on applying was because there are some workers also from higher risk country who got their approval already. I know. the salary is not ideal but my prev company gave me less than that.
Have you got the new schedule for entry approval? I believe some people who got their entry approval cancelled back in May, have got the entry date in the couple weeks back.
Thanks
Hello,
I already got my EP approved however, my employer says there is no available slots to apply for entry approval. Do you have any solution or way to at least submit our entry approval request.
Depends on your country of origin first up, but the process in the same, logon to the ICA website and work towards submission of your details to request approval.
Hi,
Can someone please explains to me the process for the entry of approval? I did not know that there is a limited number of slot for entry of approval. Is this first come first serve basis with limited number of slot per day?
My employer is the one handling all of the application, and I do not have any information other than they told me to just wait "indefinitely".
I have heard from some people that they got their entry of approval already approved even though they are from "higher risk" countries.
Thank you!
Although the exact criteria are not published by ICA, it is certainly not "first come first served". I guess the risk of importing infections from your country and the urgency your job is needed in Singapore play a role.
My is mahindran enter pass rejected mei to September who can get approved this month I'm waiting 4 month ready mom can help me what many times rejected
Hi joemel,
Would like to ask under what sector are you,? Construction, FB?
And also do is your entry application approved already? Thanks
My employer have been applying for an entry approval since mid of December until now. My employer requested for February 12 the other day and now I received another email from my employer and again it was rejected. My employer requested another date on March 8 hoping to be approved. I have been rejected for like 10 times but they say keep on applying. I always received the same reason

The answer is clearly written in your own post: You will get approved once the COVID situation has stabilized!
