Thank you! God bless!

Approval criteria are tightening.
Even if your employer decides to appeal, it is wise to prepare a plan B for final rejection!

Is it bcoz of covid situation? Not sure thou..

Shekhz

Well you can’t refute Covid-19 has tossed things around, the tightened measures are for the following reasons (majorly).
1. Jobless locals
2. Fake credentials to secure unlawful employment by applicants
3. Unfair hiring practices by companies

The only reply from my HR is this. We will write an appeal letter to MOM to review the renewal. I understand that due to the current covid MOM may processes are a bit more stringent.

What could be the next step on this?

Shekhz

Your HR has outlined the next step, an appeal with a better justification to call out why you are important for the job.

You can’t do anything yourself towards this appeal, however, you could identify your alternatives (Plan B).

Ok thank you for the advice!

Is this a new trend now in spass/ep?

Work pass approval criteria have been tightening for several years. But COVID certainly sped up things.

Ok thank you very much!! Hope for positive outcome soon🙏🏻

Hi guys! So apparently the cause of my rejection was due to quota as per my HR.

Anyone here tried to transfer to subsidiary company and applied for new spass application?

tried to find forum regarding it but cannot find one..

Iamfinch: Such a transfer to a subsidiary is either seen by MoM as a completely new application, in which case it is evaluated to the usual criteria, or as an attempt to circumvent your employer's quota allocation, in which case it is likely to be rejected.
Good luck!

Yes my hr explain that to me but both company have different uen so they don’t share quota but the possibility of rejection is still there. Also as per my HR we only short half local because of cpf but then maybe she didn’t realized until my pass rejected. She also mentioned they hiring already but I know it takes time to update the quota data in the mom system so it will conflict with my expiry date..

My new spass application on pending at 11days today.. hope for positive outcome soon🙏🏻..

Please take note that Spass/EP new application requires a job posting for 28 days in Jobsbank prior to the application. Ensure that this is done and of course ensure that quota is available.

Hi derens! Subsidiary company have quota that’s why they transfer me there but on the job bank posting I’m not sure cause I read if transfer no need to post the job.. so I’m not sure regarding that.. still waiting for the outcome🙏🏻
