I've lived in SGP for many years on a DP, & worked on a LOC (very small) firm, but cannot continue under that scheme with the change of regulations here. I recently learned of the option to apply for LOC under sole proprietorship and will appreciate hearing from the experience of others who've tried this successfully or unsuccessfully. Am wondering specifically:

1) How quick/slow easy/difficult was it to do this (some details will be appreciated)?

2) Have you found someone good to help you with this (having searched, I found some firms as well as independent consultants claiming to be able to help, but also lots of mixed views on whether these helpers bring added value, or even really know what they are doing (I had one bad experience with one such consultant).

Any sharing and advice will be appreciated.

What do you mean by "LOC under sole proprietorship"?
As far as I know, the only LoC that remains is the one that allows you work while holding an LTVP.

This is new - and I didn't even know it existed. Thanks for pointing it out to us!
You are the first here on the forum who wants to apply for it. I guess you need luck to find anyone (incl. agents) with knowledge about it.
Therefore, it would be great if you come back and post your experience here for others to learn from.
