I'm moving to Saigon, VN in 25 days and am wondering if anyone knows whether there are any racquetball courts there? If so, are they at a gym or free to use? Also, if anyone knows what the rates are and qualities of gyms are like, I'd greatly appreciate any information regarding this. Thank you!

Yes district 3 there is a place called Lan anh village (check spelling) They have a curved pool (better for kids) tennis courts, and a pretty good gym.

Prices are 45000 dong for swim, 170000 for gym.

Hope this has helped also there's a rock climbing centre 8km east of the city for an alternative workout.

email me if you need a training partner mfraser2008@hotmail.co.uk

Hey Marcus,

Is that the monthly fee?

You can also check out Rach Mieu in Phu Nhuan District. They have tennis courts, a pool, a nice looking gym, martial arts, and some other fitness related activities (but no racquetball).

I have never seen or heard of a racquetball court in HCMC, Vietnam or anywhere else in SE Asia. I may be way off here but I think Squash is more popular. I am an American, used to playing racquetball, and switched over to squash a few years back in Singapore. Squash is a fun game and similar to racquetball, in case you have never played. The ball is like a dead racquetball but as it heats up it bounces around more. What you end up with is a slower version of racquetball that you have to really hit harder all the time. The result is one heck of a workout and good time. If you can't find a racquetball court look for squash.

Aloha!

Hi Oakland! I am racquetball player too. I believe the only one they have in Danang. I don't recall anything in HCMC.

Depends on where you live and what type of amenities you are looking for. Most will be sweat boxes, in D.7 there is a World Gym I go to.
