We see and hear every day about a friend who went to Germany as if the gates to heaven were opened for him.. I am sad for my country, which suffers from the scourge of war, and we have not seen hope for a long time. Will we see it in Germany one day??

What do you mean by "a country without a country"?
As all places, Germany has good and bad aspects. It is up to you whether you see the good as more important than the bad (and thus are happy here). But the gates of heaven are certainly not in Germany!

Germany of course takes in refugees seeking asylum but the political climate makes it difficult. We can't possibly take in everyone since there are so many in need. And it is far from heaven. One has to adjust to a new culture, language, climate and customs. Not everyone will be happy here.
