as far as i know, every time you change visa by emirates, they will test your sputum again, might be back to 1 year follow up visa, just to make sure you dont develop some kind of illness, but i know it will be ok since your an old visa,...

@Rikimaruz, thanks for your response. Oh ok, so they take sputum tests everytime there is emirate switch. I really hope this is the case. If it is 1 year with follow up, I'd be so grateful than being unfit. I really wish. Still a few more days of being anxious.

You would not be unfit anymore since you already have visa before., unless otherwise the rules have change, as of now, i know its still the same., old visa , change emirates, 1 year followup positive or negwtive result of sputum, goodluck let us know the result

Today is the 3rd sputum test day. Im just about to reach Al Muhaisnah now. After this test I will try to speak with the doctor to ask for what to expect/results. But I assume they will say they will email the results. I will update later further.

Update: I have finished 3rd Sputum. While submitting the sample, I've asked the lab personnel if I need to go back to the Doctor. I was told if the doctor didnt tell me to come back, then no need. I just need to wait for the results in 2 to 3 days. I went back to the car, had a quick lunch and I felt uneasy to just leave like that, decided to go back and check with the doctor. So i went back, and at block 7, i was asked to submit copy of my old visa, copy of residence cancellation and copy of status change. They said "it will help". And that my results will be e-mailed Thursday or Sunday (as they are still waiting for sputum test results).

Still a few more days of waiting then. I really hope it will be alright.

If from last viza more then 6 month, u will have unfite. If less - maybe u will have again 1 year ....good luck

yah now your considered as old visa,. all you can do now is wait,. but im guessing everything will be alright

Hello i would just like to update.
I got the results today and it is fit-follow up, fit for one year. (I think they will ask me to come back for xray every 6 months, same like what they did back in 2019)

I wanted 3yrs visa but i am ok with 1 year, so much better than unfit and deportation.

I am so relieved now. It was literally pure mental torture from last week. Thinking of the results.

I wish others in same situation will also be getting fit, it was such pure happiness when i saw the certificate on the email.

Will now proceed to my eid and visa stamping.

I have same issue since 6 years but it was not a problem for me because its normal and anyone can have that if it is not related to any serious desiease...they asked me to come back after every month for test until 3 months later they issued the visa ...

Hi AA girl. Just want to ask when you get the new work here in Dubai you said you have 1year and 2years visa renewal. For your 2years visa renewal, Did you only get the blood test for medical?because I have a friend that has a problem also before with his xray and after running some test and help from their HR he got the FIT result. Now after 2years he was going to be renewed again is there any possibility that they will not review the xray for the past years?his colleagues was only tested for blood test because it's the same company like him.

Yes on the renewal of same Dubai company, they will only do blood test

Another update:
They actually gave me 3 years visa. I was surprised when I saw my passport stamp

So it will not be affect the scar issue from the past?is it real that once you are released a FIT certificate.if you stay with the same company they will just check blood test for HIV right.

Yes in Dubai this is the case. As long as you stay in same Dubai company they only check for blood.

Yes 2016 - I got hired and had visa under Abu Dhabi company (no medical issues, nothing)

2019- Had visa (they saw the scar, was approved after some medical struggles) under Dubai company

Now 2021 - Has visa (again after the never ending medical struggles!) under Sharjah company

I did the usual required medical: x ray and blood test. They saw the lung scar and asked me to do 3-day sputum test. Then they gave me Fit-Follow up certificate. (My first Follow up is on May 2022)

You just take the blood when you got the medical?for renewal with the same company?

Because I'm scared that I will do again with that xray and scar when I renew my contract  shain with the same company

I know for sure that if you are under Dubai visa and you are renewing under the very same company, Dubai visa, your renewal will only need blood test. No need xray

For other emirates renewing under same company and same emirate, I dont know if it is blood only also, or blood + xray.

Maybe somebody on the thread knows? Anyone who is under Abu Dhabi or Sharjah visa? What medicals do you do when renewing your visa?

Thanks for the update. I am in same state. I got 1 year fit follow up. But I am in residence visa, husband sponsoring. I have followup medical checkup in muhaisnah this may. Hope I will also get fit or followup not deportation as my daughter also studying here, husband working here.

we are transferring visa from abu dhabi to dubai,.

before in abu dhabi i got fit result but need to go every 6 months for followup,.

we will cancel visa now to change to dubai visa,.
