Hi ,

I am an Indian Student studying in Italy( Venice)
I hold an expired Permesso And I have the renewal receipt for the new one ( la ricevuta)

I wanted to know if I can travel back (from Turkey) to Italy with an expired Permesso and ricevuta ?

Hi,
Generally talking you can travel if you have already applied for the renewal, and even though your permit has expired.
However you cannot travel from or to other Countries rather than Italy and your Country of origin, even if just for a short transit.
If you want to make sure that problems will not arise during your journey, I suggest you to contact the Consulate.
A presto

I have ricevuta but my permesso has expired. I know I can come to Italy from my home country but I have two questions; First, until when can I use my ricevuta to enter the Italy? Second, can I travel to my country through non-EU countries that are visa-free countries for me? Also I can go back to Italy from my homecountry.

Thanks for your help best regards
