UPDATE

Region: Brussels

Application submitted: Jul 28 2022

No reply email: 02 Aug 2022

Request for additional docs (all pages of my passport): 25 Aug 2022 (during this period, my application was sent to Actiris for approval, because my salary was lower than the threshold for the highly qualified worker salary, as stipulated by the authorities. This was a delay tactic used to wait for Actiris' decision on my application, because all the pages of my passport were submitted during the initial application. I've written about it before; feel free to scroll back and read)

Application deemed "admissible": 29 Aug 2022

WP approval: 08 Sep 2022

RP/Annex 46: 10 Nov 2022 (although, like @TheDanMan, I'm still yet to receive the document).

Last week, I agreed together with the lawyer from the immigration firm handling my application that, this week, she will escalate my application to the Head of Department at the Immigration Office. I just got off the phone with her and she informed me that my application was approved (after the escalation), but she is waiting for them to upload the document to the portal.

Guys, if you have been waiting as long as I have, I encourage you to communicate regularly with your employer or the agency/law firm handling your application. I shared this forum with the lawyer responsible for my application and she agreed that, there were people here who received their decisions faster than others, which led to the decision to escalate my application to the Head of Department at the IO.

I'm incredibly happy this ordeal is almost over! It has been many months riddled with fear, anxiety, stress, and worry that I would lose my job (my start date was changed FIVE times till date!!). I'm also grateful to my employer for sticking with me, because I've read one too many horror stories of people losing their offers due to the inordinate amount of time it takes to process these applications.

Wishing y'all godspeed, nerves of steel, and LOTS of patience!

teahida13

Nope, no news yet unfortunately

Guest7834

@ghas85,

Thank you! I hope you get yours soon enough in the coming days!

Just a reminder to you all that today, November 11th, is a public holiday (Armistice Day) in Belgium, so don’t expect to receive any updates today.

Take the day off from worrying about your approvals and go do something fun for yourselves!

Hello Guys... when the WP gets approved, do we get an email directly from Belgian authorities like the no reply privacy notice email? Or do we have to check with our employer to see if WP is approved or not?

ANOTHER UPDATE

Just received my Annex 46. It was approved since November 4th, so don’t know why it took them this long to release it.
