@Kalal

Hi I just have one doubt to be clear? Did you received by an post, or was it conveyed to you by the company?

Please if you can help me in this.

Kalal

@MS10_07 My employer notified me. I read somewhere the Immigration Office no longer sends a copy of Annex 46 to the employee.

ToutaA

Has no one got his RP this dec please? (flanders)

Berryknots8

Our immigration consultant has advised us that there is now a significant delay in processing and is now taking more like 15 weeks vs 12 weeks back then

Anyone experiencing this too?

AA21

Does anybody know/ expect when the immigration office in Brussels returns to work in January?

The official website of the Office des Etrangers does not provide any information regarding closures during the holidays and I wouldn't necessarily trust external sources.

SimCityAT

Look, it is the holiday season, so don't expect much to happen until the new year. Just enjoy the festive season and wait.

ToutaA

@Berryknots8

15 weeks for the whole process or just the RP ? 😱

Zaza00

@SimCityAT Sure, but that does not actually answer the original question that was asked. So let's see if anyone has any insight. Perhaps someone has managed to get a Office des Etrangers rep on the line to confirm

hypatiaa

@SimCityAT why are you so passive aggressive every time? Whenever I see an answer from you under this topic, always so irritating. If you do not have answer please stop replying people waiting in stress. Thank you.

-@hypatiaa

Well, I think he replied logically.

If you feel it irritating it means you know nothing about Belgium and its “slow processing” on almost everything. He is right that you can not expect anything from holidays. Almost everyone takes a week of holidays at least. So he just mention that incase non-logical thinkers assume that they will get news on holidays of someone.

Also, I feel it very annoying if someone comes here and ask for the opening hours of Immigration office while they can just call or shoot them an email directly. All the contact information is available on their site.

Why annoying? Because that is kind of info that you could always request from the authority and you are sure that its correct. The forum is to share personal experience and sometimes it depends on case by case also.

Why annoying? Because I always send an email to them and always get a reply within 4 wdays. I ask all kinds of things from my Single permit status, permanent residency eligibility and they answered with all details. Why dont people do that first?

Ofcourse, its fantastic to share personal experience but some obvious and legal information could always looked up on the Net or by shooting an email but many people refused to do and just come here to ask and they usually even do not search in this forum for past answers. Sharing is caring but should not be overused. Is that irritating?

Congratulations!

My region also is Brussels and my WP was issued on 10 Nov. You gave us some hope!

Manoj_Techie

@AA21 yeah you might get good news soon then 😊

hypatiaa

@Peterjohn123 First of all, I did not ask a question, I just replied his reply to someone else. I know the process in Belgium because I live here 3 years now.

Second, this forum is to ask questions to eachother and share experiences. Only if a question is irrelevant to this topic you can say what you say. My problem is the way he answers some people and yes it is irritating to me that’s my opinion. You can go back in this topic and search his answers you’ll see what I mean, maybe.

Since I am posting here, I can share my timeline once more:

Flanders

No reply: October 10

Work permit: December 5

Annex 46: Waiting

It seems to me that I will receive the annex around mid/end January. This is what the legal expert told me while submitting my application anyway.

ToutaA

@hypatiaa

We pretty much have the same timeline so let’s keep each other updated!

hypatiaa

@ToutaA of course! Good luck :)

Zaza00

@Peterjohn123 I'll reply quickly here because I don't think it's fair that we clog this thread with posts irrelevant to the topic. While it would be best for folks to first use Google and contact the Immigration Office to search for answers, it doesn't always make sense. I've tried calling the Office several times and waited on hold for hours without going through. If they email them now about holiday hours but can't expect a response until much after the holidays then it's a waste of time for all involved, isn't it?

My opinion of these types of posts and questions remains the same - folks should only reply if they have an actual answer to the question otherwise let it be.

Hi all,

I want to share my timeline (Brussels):

No reply: 29/07/2022

WP: 29/08/2022

RP/Annex 46: 23/12/2022

I don't know if my situation was unique but my RP took longer than expected. My employer contacted infodesk 4 months after the no reply and they responded that the 4 months start counting only since the moment they received the application so, according to them, they still had time to give a response about the application, which is not true because it is very clear in the website that the whole process takes 4 months but anyway, it was very stressful but finally, I have all my documents ready.

Good luck to everyone!

RP/Annex 46: waiting

Unfortunately I should have started in January but now have to postpone in February.

Ameh95

@PS_123456

look at immoweb it is the most commonly used app

maharaji1984

Does anybody know

*If my WP and RP is about to expired (same day)

*Employee already have been applied for new WP but MIGRATION ECONOMIQUE still processing the file and not an answer given.

then i have two questions

1-Cant i take an Annex 49 or Annex 15 or whatever from townhall?

2-What would happens after WP-SP expire date?

I am in this situation and townhall asking for an Annex46 to give me an Annex49.

Is not it weird? If i would have an Annex46, then i would apply for an extension of my RP.

djpalace2000

@Esra SUCU

Same timeline but still no update. did your employer update you or you received thru your personal email? thanks

karthick_

@maharaji1984

Hello,

I assume that your employer asked for your extension,

Send an email to your region about your expiry of WP to see if they can make an exception and once if they give approval , i suppose (from what i heard) you can get annex 49 from townhall and continue to work before your approval for stay.

if no news before the expiry of your rp , then normally you will get annex 15 considering the fact that your application is in progress! and in this case you may not be able to work.

what is your renewal timeline by the way and from which region ?

thanks.

maharaji1984

@karthick_ Dear karthick I have already asked my employer and i know that extension already applied.I dont understand what have you mentioned about region.Do you mean townhall?I am living in Antwerpen and recently they have got an hacker attack.Its impossible to take an appoitment,so i go there to apply for an extention formy residence permit.They were extremly unfriendly.And no any paper given even i have explained my concern....They are saying that i may have an Annex46 in order to get an Annex49 (its not giving work  approval but you can stay in Belgium up to 45 days)So not an answer received from municipality if i dont have an Annex46 which i dont have :D But on the other hand following information given on the website of immigration office.https://dofi.ibz.be/en/themes/third-country-nationals/work/single-permita) Residence and work permits granted for a limited periodA worker authorised to work and reside for a limited period of time must apply for the renewal of the work permit from the Region at the latest 2 months before the expiry of the A card (single permit), through their employer. This application is equivalent to an application for renewal of the residence permit.If the Region and the Immigration Office do not take a decision before the expiry of the A card, the municipal administration will issue an annex 49 to the worker, provided that they present a document issued by the Region attesting to the admissibility and completeness of their application for renewal. Annex 49 covers their stay temporarily for 30 days and can be extended twice, for 30 days (2 X 30 days). However, Annex 49 does not entitle the holder to work (indication "Labour Market: No").I lost my believe in this country administration tasks.My work permit documents delivered at: 08.11.2022 My work permit expires at : 01.01.2023After this date i wont be able to work because of administiration failure.
