@ifeli
same with me. They ask for the apostille of criminal record. But they issued the Annex 46, the same day I submitted the apostille.
Do you already have your Visa D appointment/schedule? Mine's on May 3. Any tip/suggestion on want to bring during the appointment? Thanks

I want to ask if anyone as a researcher is applying for the single permit? Cause the new D-visa policy for researcher now has turned to a single permit type. And I read from the ibz website the processing period for processing a researcher's single permit should be within 60-day max. Now it's getting closer....so nervous

Hello guys,
I currently have a Single Permit Visa, and recently signed a contract with another company in Belgium on the last week of March.
However, the company responsible for my Visa didn't even start my application, and my first working day is in the middle of May. So there is a possibility of my Visa won't be ready before it.
Is there any chance that the company withdraw their contract with me due to this delay? Has anyone experience this type of situation?
Regards.

Still no RP here... My employer told me all their current applications are taking longer than expected for the RP and that I should have an answer soon.
I have even given a call to IBZ and they ensured me my application is normal. They told me that I should call them again if I don't receive an answer in two weeks.
Such an anxiety-triggering process...

Hi all,
I need to apply for the Visa for myself and my spouse together. I need some guidance on some of the documents required for my spouse's application. I have highlighted my queries in blue.
- Copy of the residence permit (front + back) - Do we submit Annex 46 for this?
- Proof that the person being joined has sufficient accommodation:Copy of proof of ownership of a house/apartment or a registered copy of the rental contract - What proof is generally shown here?AirBNB or Hotel accommodation will work? and for how much duration?
- Proof (at least six last months) that the person being joined has stable, regular and sufficient means of subsistence to meet his own needs and those of the members of his family and avoid them becoming a burden on the public authorities. - What proof is generally shown here? Will the employee contract work here?
- Legalisation of documents for spouse - What all documents need legalisation. We have already legalised the Birth Certificate, PCC, Marriage Certificate. Is there any other document which requires legalization for my spouse?
Thanks !

Yeah, what a long waiting time
Note to avoid confusion: the additional document I am referring to is my residence permit in France (I studied in France and have a "carte de sejour"). When the Belgian authority checked my documents, my card had expired. Actually, my carte de sejour was already finished and could only be picked up on April 18.
Thanks!
Trying to bring this thread back to life 😄.
Please does anyone know what the current waiting time for WP and RP is for Flanders?
@Nkechi1 The current timeline mentioned is 4 months.
is your WP/RP a renewal or a new application?
For me it was a renewal and the entire process took 2 months (because my employer kept following up with the office).
If your employer does not follow-up, then lets say will take +-4 months.
For a new application, my colleague had to wait for 4 months to get his WP alone.
@BMM996210
Thank you! Mine is a new application. My employer asked for my details on the 25th of April but I'm not sure if and when they applied.
@BMM996210 how long it took for you to receive the WP for Renew Process?
Was it in Flanders?

@nabazuki yes, in Flanders.

I am still waiting for the Work Permit. Did anyone who applied at the end of March get any news?
Region: Flanders
Application date : 19 January, 2023
WP : 7 March
RP : 8 May
I will start Family reunification visa process now.
I got to know from my employer that if my dependents apply with me when I apply for stamping purposes then Family visa should come in 2 months..
Hope for the best.
Good luck everyone.
Hi All,
My employer submitted the single permit request on the 5th of April and I am still waiting for the WP. Anyone applied in April and got his please ? (Brussels).
For highly qualified type work permits waiting time can additionally go up to +1 month because authorities first looking from the local market and waiting for responses.
@BMM996210
What did your employer do to follow up the process?
Did they call everyday? To who, where?
Could you give more tips how we can push?
@cuneytacil I do not have the exact email addresses, but my employer sent reminder emails to the office depending if it was a WP or SP approval.
In almost every case, there was an immediate response on the status of the application.
Normally your employer should be aware of the contact details of the office.
or are you applying it yourself?
@BMM996210 A 3rd party company is doing the Visa and ID renewal works.
My process started on January. I received WP on 21st of April. I need to have RP before July.
I try to figure out the possibility.
@cuneytacil Hi, it seems like you received your WP very late if you applied in January and only received in late-April (especially for a renewal). Normally, it should take max. between 8 - 10 weeks (people here seem to get it in 6 weeks average). Was it indeed a renewal or a change of employer application? Also in which region did you apply from? Hope you receive your SP soon!
