Exits and Entrances

Shakespeare certainly knew his stuff....life is certainly "a stage."  At the moment I'm in Act II, Scene 1 of my expat life here in Germany.
Act I was all about my arrival and experiences of residency, work permits and starting a new job.  So far I've survived with only a few bouts of depression and regrets.

So now Act II begins:  I have another year on my contract, which will end June 2010.  I decided to join Expat.com because it seems a great place to write what about your experiences. 

At the moment I am taking the role of observer.  In the first Act I played multiple roles of sheep, explorer, and alice through the looking glass....no logic that I could identify with.  Needless to say what I knew before I came here just didn't cross over too well.  I thought that having lived here as a high school student and previously 8 years ago for six months would prepare me for this adventure.  Nope.

So now, I'm observing and contemplating.  I especially want to explore more travel experiences.
