I friend of mine just move to St Julian's and after having eaten pizza for a week she is now desperate to find supermarkets to buy food and cook by herself.

Where could she find a big/medium supermarket?

Or what are the names of the most popular supermarkets in Malta.

Any help will be appreciated by my hungry friend ;)

The three I know of are :

Park Tower supermarket on the sea front ( Borg George Olivier St.)

and Scott's supermarket ( near St.Julians policestation next to a parking lot)

All are good. I usually go to Scott's in Sliema.

Cheers and merry cooking.

if you want to go a bit further afield - Pavi is lcoated at qormi and is a the biggest supermarket on the island i think - its a bit like asda tesco morrsison all rolled into one..everything under one roof - well nearly.

Scotts is good as we have one near us in Burmaraad, and Smarts are at Balzan

Arkadia @ bottom of Portomasso complex or Scotts St Julians in the carpark opposite the LOVE sign are other 2 options :)
Good luck!

Thank you very much for so much help.
I will pass it on my friend.
After that she may invite you for a homemade diner (-:

there is also the price chopper just before spinola bay on the main street (promenade) coming from sliema (it is in the basement of a building, there is a gym above it).
