Cost of hiring a domestic helper in Johor Bahru

Hi. My family is thinking of moving to JB in a few months' time from Hong Kong. We'd like to take our current helper who is Filipina, but understand that this is really difficult. How easy or hard is it to hire a local maid and is it advisable?

Local maid in Malaysia? The normal locals don't work, so don't think a local maid will work. Its a big problem getting quality people here, but am sure there must be a way to get your Pilipino maid here. Not sure what visa you need to move here, but there would be agents that tell you how.

The Philippine embassy isn't very helpful. Let me ask and update here.
