F&B Manager & Tutor
Join the SHF Team as our new F&B Manager/Tutor
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team and contribute to the growth and development of our students and the excellence of our F&B services. This is an important role in our organisation and involves teaching F&B students, managing the department and coordinating inter-departmental communication.
Key Responsibilities.
Teaching and Training:
- Deliver classroom training and hands-on coaching in the field.
- Develop and deliver training programmes to improve service standards, product knowledge and technical skills.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Department Management:
- Oversee all food, beverage and bar service for guests and ensure excellent service and maximum guest satisfaction.
- Respond efficiently and accurately to guest complaints and feedback.
- Control and manage the preparation process in the restaurant and bar, ensuring quality and hygiene standards.
- Oversee the opening and closing of the restaurant and bar, including administrative duties such as product ordering, cost control and inventory management.
- Work with the kitchen staff and team to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant
- Preparation of detailed reports on weekly or monthly income and expenditure.
- Ensure discipline and high quality standards in the restaurant and bar.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
Student Supervision:
- Supervise and teach F&B students aged 17-23, adapting to their learning needs and ensuring a positive and productive training environment.
- Supervise and students during practical training.
A degree in hospitality, with relevant certifications in F&B management or training.At least 4 years of experience as an F&B manager/trainer.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Fluent in written and spoken English.Willingness to learn and put into practise responsible tourism in the F&B department.Willingness to relocate and work in the South West of Sumba.Adaptable and a team player with strong leadership qualities.
A degree in hospitality, with relevant certifications in F&B management or training.
