Senior Merchandiser (on-site in Vietnam)

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will oversee the entire product development and sourcing process, including concept creation, design, price negotiation, sampling, production management, quality control, testing, logistics and communication with our US and China offices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Handle new enquiries, sourcing suppliers, costing analysis and quote preparation.

• Place and follow up on sample orders, project specifications and client requests.

• Manage orders from initial placement until the product is in the client's hands. This includes, but is not limited to verifying pricing, following up with manufacturers, and tracking orders through delivery.

• Manage, review and ship incoming and outgoing samples.

• Perform relevant tests on the product.

• Create purchase orders, apply for payment and potentially travel to manufacturing facilities.

• Supervise OEM developments.

• Communicate with US and China offices on projects status.

WHO YOU ARE

• Required languages are Vietnamese (Excellent, written & oral), English (Excellent, written & oral), Mandarin (Excellent, written & oral)

• Minimum five years in Sourcing or Production experience, in merchandising and/or promotions field.

• Familiar with Bag/Textile, Paper Packaging, Metal, or Plastics will be preferred. Manufacturing experience would be an added plus.

• Knowledge of US testing requirements.

• Bachelor's degree or above, major in International Trade, English or equivalent education.
