Junior Financial Controller

We are seeking a proactive Junior Financial Controller, who will be reporting directly to the CFO. Together with the Finance team, you will have a key role in the record-to-report flow, the monthly and quarterly closing, involved in accounting topics and overseeing the statutory year-end audit.

** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1- Financial Management & Reporting:

• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese and international accounting standards (IFRS, VAS, etc.)
• Oversee cash flow management, financial planning, and risk management to optimize business performance
• Develop, monitor, and update budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analysis and financial insights to senior management

2- Payroll & Tax Compliance:

• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Vietnamese labor laws
• Ensure accurate tax calculation and compliance with personal income tax (PIT) requirements
• Manage payroll-related social insurance, health insurance, and trade union contributions as per Vietnamese regulations

3- Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Implement and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity
• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese tax laws, accounting regulations, and international financial standards

4- Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate with senior management, department heads, and external advisors to align financial strategy with business goals
• Liaise with international finance teams to harmonize financial processes across different regions
• Provide financial guidance to operational teams to optimize cost efficiency and revenue growth

** QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

1- Must-Have:

• Fluent in English and Vietnamese both written and spoken
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, and reporting
• At least 2 years of experience in international businesses
• Strong knowledge of Vietnamese tax regulations, payroll management, and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in financial software (Xero, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

2- Preferred:

• Experience in the tech industry (startups, SaaS, fintech, or e-commerce companies preferred)
• Experience with M&A processing is an advantage
