Peace and Conflict interventionist
I have worked as an English Teacher for the past 8 years, but I have also taught African Studies, History and Social Studies alongside that role. At my previous school environment outside of the classroom, I served as the Crisis Management Member SAT Coordinator for external exams, Small Group Leader, Coach (be it basketball, football or volleyball), class advisor (Middle school or high school and the senior class) and the English Placement Coordinator.
As a holder of a Masters in African Peace and Conflict Studies as well as a Double BA in Biblical and Religous Studies and Peace and Conflict Management, I was able to use my conflict resolution skills to intervene in various situations ranging from students to adults.
I just moved to France with my two sons who are 1yr 5 months and almost 5 years to settle with thier father who has been working in Lyon since December. I am looking for work where my skills can be used to serve the community, and I would like to work with refugees, young adults and vulnerable communities.
Off the bat, I am not too familiar with the laws of the country, but I am a quick learner and a long life learner.
Interpersonal, conflict intervention, public speaking, teaching, analytical, critical, creative and communication, leadership, research, risk assessment and writing skills.
