Difficult to meet new people

Post new topic

fdescheemaeker

Hello everybody,

My name is Francoise, I'm Belgian and I live since this summer in Chennai. We are here because of my husbands work and we plan to stay until the end of 2023.

I find it a bit difficult to meet new people (locals or expats). I do not speak tamil.

Any suggestions ?

Thank you,

Francoise

Hello fdescheemaeker,

Welcome to Expat.com 1f601.svg

Please note that I have moved your thread to the Chennai forum.

I hope that people in this forum who have been in the same situation can advise you on this.

In the meantime, you can post an advert in the Chennai classifieds section.

There is a category for, friendship.

You should write details about yourself, for example, your hobbies, etc. This way, you will increase your chances of meeting people who share the same interests as you. 1f609.svg

Cheers,

Cheryl
