Hello everyone, would be great to get a perspective on my chances of getting a PR:
Nationality: Indonesia
Race: Chinese
Gender: Male
Education: undergraduate 2 major from Indo
Working Experience: 5 years
Occupation: software engineering Manager
Company: SG based startup, public listed in US
Pass: E pass
Age: 28
Marital status: Married, wife moved to SG on May 2023
Salary: 13K Monthly
Moved to SG on may 2022, applied alone on March 2023, still waiting for status update
Previous applications: None
@devbrosur Sorry, but a PR application after less than a year here and without your family has no chance of approval.
Try applying again as a family when both you and your wife completed three years in the country - best if you have a baby by then.
@Beppi: Thank you We have no plans to move out & have long-term plans and commitments here.
Hi @Beppi my wife moved to SG 1 month after application submitted. Another qn: does it affect chance to get PR if i travel overseas sometimes?
does anyone here get PR approved within 1 year time frame only on year 2023? without family ties?

Hi….
ICA e.mail for additional documents.
is it positive or negative????
They e.mail in the 5th month after my submission of PR application.
can any body tell me ICA just start review my application or at the 1st month after my submission.
thanks
@Tum99
No one knows if they started reviewing now or from the first month. As long as you receive a intimation at least it is a good sign that they are reviewing your application. I would suggest you to leave it on them to comeback to you for the result. I understand the anxiety but trust me its of no use.
@AAD2023
thanks alot
much appreciated

-@Tum99
It means that they need additonal documents to process your application.
Whether this is positive or negative depends on your perspective:
- If you are worried that you will be rejected, positive: It is not rejected yet.
- If you expect to be approved, negative: It is not approved yet.
You decide!
@beppi
thanks alot
btw in ur experience ICA just start review my application or they start from the very beginning i submit
@beppi Pin this pls as 2023 Gem. :-D

Hi, I heard that the 2021 and 2022 PR applications are still delayed due to the covid pileup, but 2023 PR applications have started moving and some have even been approved. Could I know if anyone in this forum got their PR application approved in 2023 after applying in 2023? If so please let me know your details like race, age, education, job, salary, family details...I just want to understand what kind of cases were approved? Also do share how long it took for approval....
@yourfaithfulness this is impossible and you are most likely not being truthful lol. It's not possible for you to get PR without including your family, within such a short period.
@BrianSundaram The user you are referring to, yourfaithfulness, was not active in this thread. Was this an accidental post intended for another thread?
@beppi thanks for letting me know. That's weird, I am positive I was responding on this thread. He/She could have deleted the comment

First time applying
Your profile ticked all the boxes (you are belongs to chinese community - quota is highly in favour of you), married a Singaporean then getting a PR was just matter of time
Hi everyone, preparing our documents for PR, done some volunteering (both me and my wife) and hesitant whether I should mention that information or not. If yes- then how? email records from volunteer.sg or request a letter from the places I volunteered for, or not mention as it might not be beneficial to the case?
@hrmrk Since the exact criteria are not publicised, we don't know how important contributing to the Singapore society really is for a PR applicant.
I assume it also depends on your overall profile: Somebody who is generally desirable as resident for Singapore (in the eyes of the authorities) will become PR even without any volunteering. And someone who is not desirable won't be able to change that assessment just by charity work. But in marginal or borderline cases, showing unilateral efforts to integrate and share can make the difference between approval and rejection.
That said, the efforts must also be worth mentioning: Just helping occasionally at the local CC, or once or twice donating blood, is better kept out of your application - because it might be less than expected as a default.
