I am applying for a work visa to Norway. I want to take my family with me (husband and daughter). I am currently awaiting a response from UDI regarding my work visa. I can't figure out what type of visa my husband and daughter should apply for? As I understand it, a family visa takes many months to process. Can a D visa be suitable for them or can they enter Norway on a tourist visa and then apply for a family visa there? Do they have to wait until I get a work visa and then apply for a visa?

Hi

I think they need to wait for your working visa first 😊

Regarding the family visa. Yes it really takes time. I'm still waiting also for the answer of UDI regarding my visa. If you already have a working visa. Your family can apply a tourist visa first. D visa is a entry visa when you have a pending visa application 😊
