@AndyHCMC At the moment alone with a bia. Or I might take myself out for a day around Saigon. Any suggestion for a nice Christmas Day out would be welcomed. What do people do on Christmas Day here?

As long as it keeps raining during monsoon season.

When the rain stops but monsoon winds keep blowing, people start suffering from severe rhinitis (hayfever) from all kinds of crud being kicked up from the streets.

Dry monsoon winds cause a lot of havoc in the Đà Nẵng/Hội An area

Safepeter

Apart from hiding from the invasion of tourists from HCMC and elsewhere coming to VT.

Home alone with no plans and I'm sticking to them. Unless something better comes up.

Seasons greetings and a fantastic 2023 to all, 1f37e.svg1f377.svg1f37a.svg

Probably do a Skype call to family back home in Canada.

Last year my sister and I reminisced about what had almost become a Christmas tradition when we were kids, ie. watching the cat run around with tinsel streaming from it's arse

Ahhh, memories

:)

@AndyHCMC I’m going to Vietnam on 27 December. Very happy to be seeing friends almost at Christmas. I’ve not been since I left in 2021 so very excited particularly to reach Hanoi. I have my 30 days to go have fun. Go to a bia hoi. Drink coffee by west lake. Spend wonderful times with so many Vietnamese friends I have not seen. A year in Mexico did me good. I like their 6 month tourist cards. Did that twice. Now living my good life in Siem Reap. No visa runs. Just the nice and flexible ER visa extension in Cambodia. So going to Vietnam. Staying 30 days. Having fun. Leaving. No repeats.
