I was told that when renting the water bill normally stays in the name of the owner because the owner needs to be present to transfer the account. Well now apparently since the 1st Jan 2023 the owner does not need to be present and my owner asked for the water to be in my name. I visited the Tala council office to get this transferred and this is possible but I have to give up 440 euro deposit for the account! Would have been better to keep it in the owners name and just pay them but they were not happy with that :-/
Therefore be prepared to have another deposit that will only be returned when you cancel the account!
So far I have paid the electric company deposit of 350 euro

When I leave I will be quid's in lol
