Work Permit and C-Type Visa

Hello All,

My company is sponsoring me for job in Flanders and I'm about to start the work permit submittal process.

I already work closely with the Belgian company in question and my company wants me to train in-person with my Belgian counterparts as soon as possible.

Will a 90-day stay with a C-Type visa jeopardize my application in process? I will maintain my US residence and address during the 90-day stay as I live with my parents at the moment.

Is it correct to assume I'm obligated to return to the US to finish the application process?

Thanks in advance, this forum is very helpful!
