Annex 18 : when leaving Belgium for more than 3 months

Dear Expats ,

I am a third country national holding residence permit of type L.

If I were to leave Belgium for more than 3 months , I am obliged to obtain Annex 18 to exercise my 'right of return' later.

Has anyone faced any difficulties when coming back to Belgium after more than 3 months of stay abroad ?

Will Annex 18 have a negative effect on Nationality application later ?
