Hello all,

does anyone have any experiences with the village Kavlak, or know anything about it?

any information would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

I'm not a VT person, but it's a very popular area with Brits. The city is lovely, and there are lots of very nice villages around.

I believe you're asking about an Ebay offer in this village. The seller has a good reputation, and usually picks decent houses in decent locations. This particular listing is about the land, I would say. Most houses here will have plots of 1,000 m2 give or take... a few will be 2,000 to 3,000. But you rarely see houses with such a large plot.

It's a little far from civilization for my taste, as it's about 40 mins to Veliko Tarnovo. There's a Lidl closer in Gorna Oryahovitsa, just 30 minutes. But if you want a very large plot of land, that's probably the trade-off.

I don't know the village apart from driving past it! It's a small village, a picturesque rural area and quite a long way from the nearest city, beautiful Veliko Tarnovo, a decent sized city with every service and shop one would require, plus a stunning historic centre. Probably closer to an hour's drive than 30 minutes, by the time you get into the city and find a parking space. For everyday stuff the small town of Antonovo is not so far away, but it IS a small small town and will have limited shops.

The village is possibly ideal for someone wanting peace and quiet with a bit of space around them and willing to plan ahead for a periodic big shopping trip and keeping a well stocked pantry in between.

That ebay listing was unusual in having so much land, and looks like it has excellent potential to be a nice home and smallholding.  It's now showing as sold.

Leamnffc, if you bought it, let us know how things go! I bought a village house in a different area with that seller and found they are great to deal with, very very helpful with the entire process. As with many estate agent listings, there were a few unexpected things regarding the condition of the property, but my house was far lower priced so I should have expected the unexpected!
