Hi all. I’ve been prescribed 5mg oxycodone for my Crohn’s (IBD) flare-ups. I literally went to at least 20 pharmacies yesterday in cebu but none of them had it. Even the hospital pharmacies didnt seem to carry it. Any help would be great.

better you ask a docktor for aprescribtion for it or a generic equal to it .

Tony checkout online for Tramadol or Dolcet and see if it's right for you. A Doctors prescription is required, but my stepson has purchased it at a pharmacy without a prescription in my name. It cost about P57 per pill.

Is it on the banned list? Many opioids and narcotics require a special prescription here, literally the pad is different, and can only be written by an authorized doctor. They are usually hospital physicians.

I needed Venlafaxine when I lived there and had been issued a prescription, but not one pharmacy, nor anywhere online could fill the script. I had to fly to Singapore to get my meds.

I know nothing about Crohns. But I do know something about addiction and this includes what the doctors prescribe. I hope there is some way for you to get 100% away from Opiods. Is pot an option for crohns?

Pot is not a very good option unless you like the following:

17oz . . . . . .P500,000 to P10,000,000 fine, Life to Death sentence.

10.5oz . . . . P300,000 to P400,000 fine, only 12-20 years in jail.

@Enzyte Bob  That's bonkers.. From what I hear there's another drug they should be much more concerned with eliminating. Oh wait...I think they just eliminate the users by calling them dealers. ;)

Be careful with any of the opioid blends. I hurt my knee on the mountain bike here about 5 years ago and was prescribed Dolcet for the pain. It is a blend of Tramadol and Paracetamol. Was supposed to take it 3x per day but being sensitive to meds I just took it twice - morning and night. Within a month I was off the crutches, so started tapering back, I forget now if I got a lower dose or cut them in half but I did that fine. Then I went down to one, only at night.

When I tried to completely quit that, I started getting brain zaps. Seriously - little flashes, like a dot, from time to time. And I had trouble sleeping. I WANTED that one pill. Geez.. That's when I knew I had already become dependent on it, after only 2-3  months. At that point my GF made me stop it, lol. It just took a few days and I was free, but wow. Never again. I can't imagine what would happen on the full strength Tramadol.

I am familiar with painkillers, opioid blend medications, and so on. I had an umbilical hernia once and had it robotically repaired. I was prescribed Oxyxotone. I took it and felt like a useless junkie when I spoke to my bosses and wife about my status. I flushed them in the toilet and went hardcore on surgery recovery, I swear! It felt like someone had shot me in the stomach for the next three days. But I will tell you this much. I will never regret not taking opioids from a medical doctor taking kickbacks from big pharma ever. The US has an epidemic because of this. So, with all due respect, to Doctors taking kickbacks for pushing this solution and big pharma, My middle finger salutes them.

Thanks for the recommendation Bob, i was on 100 mg tramadol every 4 hours a couple months back. It didnt put a dent in the pain. I have a really low tolerance for pain, either that or my crohns is especially bad.

Tony Gonzo

@pnwcyclist full strength tramadol isn’t particularly addictive, i was on 100mg tabs of it 300-500mg a day. Then again i only took it for about 3 weeks.

@Larry Fisher pot’s a good option, personally i use a vape pen with THC oil, that way i can take a puff anywhere.

rlmcar55

@Tony Gonzo I am in the same situation. Va manilla did prescribed them but no more and they say I had to turn to the Filipino community and can’t  find instant release anywhere I have been able to find extended release in Panpanga Bulican. They are expensive though. I suggest morphine as an alternative, it’s available and fairly cheap. Hope this helps you out in the phills. Make do with what you can get!!

Enzyte Bob

A word to the wise should be sufficient, saying you use a vape pen with THC or using morphine, you never know who reads these posts and the action they may take.
