Harresment and remove from job

Dear all

Curently i am working in Bahrain restuarent as a waiteress .Due to the cough situation i kept my mask while i am dealing with customer for maintain safety .But restaurant manager forced me to remove the mask and serve customer.but i refused to do that because of public helth.But restuarent manager shouted me that i am not following his order and he said he called to owner and he said owner told him to hit me and throw me from the restuarent and take the resignation letter from me.Then i came out office and i submited valid medical certificate same day and took leave .

Please advise me is this can happen in bahrain or if its not acceptable what action can i take.. please explain me because this is my 1 st job in bahrain

You can file a complaint in ministry of labor.

Resign and find another jobs.

Me as leader in one of hospitality restaurant bahrain i will do same as u do.

Manager need support team not force them.

May i know which places is your work.

You were working as per NHRA Guidelines where whether to wear or not a mask depends on person.

By the way employer behaved with you is not acceptable at all

file a complaint to ministry of labor and search another job
