Financing a real estate acquisition in France

Dear all,

Looking for a French or overseas financial/banking organization, that grants mortgage (loan) to a French citizen for purchasing a property in France, WITHOUT having a french work contract. In other words, the work contract is registered outside France and even outside the EU.

International loans are typically tricky because they carry more risk for the financial institution. Given your description, I’d try any bank with both a French and US presence so one side can take into account the assets/liabilities on the “other” side and be more comfortable.

BNP maybe (though I think they sold Bank of the West division recently)? Citi? HSBC?
