Carer visa

Post new topic

avaavaproject2023

Hello all,I came to UK on a carer visa but discovered on getting here my agency doesn’t have a job for me at the moment .

I tried to look for another job but I was told I can only work for 20 hours .

my question is can I do other jobs like nanny and cleaning jobs ?

or what do you advise?

thank you

Hello Avaavaproject2023,

Welcome on board !

I suggest you read the following : https://www.gov.uk/health-care-worker-v … second-job

Are you right now in the UK ?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Health and Care Worker visas are issued when the Home Office has received confirmation that the Employer is registered and there is a job waiting for you; so I'm assuming that you have one of these visas and haven't entered the UK on a tourist visa.  While working on a Health and Care Worker visa, you can only work an additional 20 hours doing other paid work without reapplying for a new visa.

I'm suspicious that you may have been scammed here, although I'd be surprised you got through Immigration without them checking, so perhaps I'm wrong.

I hope this helps.
