@Tachelle McCarthy My partner also applied at VFS Ivory Coast in the last week of March and the status is the same as yours. I thought something was wrong but then seeing your post makes me think it could be something normal.

As for me I applied on the 28th of February and was mailed on the 7th of March that my file has been sent to  FPS home Affairs in Brussels, Belgium but ever since, I’ve not heard nothing from them. Whenever I track, it’s always the same thing, no information nothing despite the fact that I’ve seen people that were able to track their applications after a month they submitted.

My question is that does it mean denial if it’s trackable in a short time after submission

I am asking this question because I mailed the Belgian immigration and they told me that it usually takes nothing less than 3 months before it can be trackable, they told me that it is after one’s file has been processed that it can become trackable on the dofi.ibz site. So how come some people get their applications tracking after a month they submitted. Does that meant denial or they will be asking for more documents

Does it mean denial or approval if a file stays long or short with the Belgium immigration ??? Please I need some enlightenment on this

Regards.

Hello spencer , i applied mine through vfs abidjan 17th march , i havent heard anything till today , with yours you got a response after 1 week of submission that is been sent to brussels , so i really do not know how they work on files, some files takes 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 5 months ,6 months, , with yours it is 2 month so in may you should hear something , i think denial is mostly insufficient funds  i see most people say on here , if it is missing documents they will ask you to submit .

@Tachelle McCarthy, I applied at the TLS Contact in Lagos Island Nigeria too but my question is, Does Insufficient funds mean that if enough money is not in the host account??? or if the host doesn’t have a good job to cover expenses for both?? or if the salary doesn’t meet the requirements of the immigration??? Because I am aware that the host salary must be up to a certain amount, it is amongst the cogent reason or requirements for granting visas even if all documents are intact

My observation about we Africans application and for my own application is that you can only be  able to track on ibz.be after 12/13 weeks which is 3months.

I was able to track my application after 15 weeks from the day I applied and exactly 16weeks it was approved which makes it 4months . I submitted a complete documents and no additional document was required but when they ask for additional documents, it takes up 5/6months to get approved or denied.

Yes you are right and also on here i saw couple of nigerians who got thier visa in two to three months on thia forum , even with you submitting complete documents it took 4 months , i saw somewhere when you apply during the holidays it takes longer also

@Tachelle McCarthy Really?? Two to three months??? I wish mine could be as fast as that. By the way, the Afghan man living in Belgium that I said yesterday that he got his wife’s application tracking in just a month and I suspected that maybe it’s a denial or needed more documents,….,Well he was  mailed today that he needs to provide more documents. You can see not that I’m partially right to that extent.

If he needs to provide more documents it could be approved , i think, it says your post is under review ? With the pakistani what is his duration ?

Hello everyone, I submitted on the 28th of February and finally was able to track my application today but I don’t understand the below infos included :-

Extra info1 When a file is still being processed or if it is not yet processed because the documents supporting the visa application sent by diplomatic bag are pending, the date indicated is the date of registration of the visa application by the EO.

Extra info2: The decision is in principle sent on the day it is taken. However, a period of a few days may elapse before it is actually received by the diplomatic or consular post.

Please can anyone explain better to me what was meant by this extra info ???

A date is always indicated, correct me if I’m wrong. The date stated is the date your application is registered on the website to enable to track. They might request for additional documents which they will ask through email or let Tls call you and ask for the documents.
