Hi All!

Hope you're all well! I am married to a Moroccan national. We travel from the UK to Morocco and have to take a direct flight as she is not able to do a via (through Spain or France). This is really expensive for us and quite difficult as the only direct flights from near us (Manchester) is to Marrakesh and her family are from near Fez.

My question is, can we do anything that allows her to go through Spain or France or another European country? Is there some sort of visa we can apply for?

Thank you!

hi yes you can apply for a  Transit Schengen visa which is valid for 24 hours and can only be used in the transit area of a Schengen country airport. If you want to leave the transit area and go anywhere outside, you need to have a regular Schengen visa in that case.

alternatively you could fly to marrakech then check to see what local

flights are available and prices via royal air maroc to fly to another city.

Is this the 1st time you’ve travelled from

MAN/Fez?

Why don’t you get in touch with the Moroccan consulate to get the proper information?

Manchester/London/FEZ  seems easy to

me.

Will or is she waiting for a British PPT?

@Vakil As always Arif, thank you for your reply! She would have to leave the transit area so I would think she'd need a regular visa. I had looked into that but it was a little tricky and quite dear when you take into account you would need it both ways.

I will look into the internal flights, hopefully I can find something suitable.

No, I have travelled MAN - FEZ on my own more than a dozen times. I usually go to Alicante/Seville/Malaga and then on to Fes.

I will contact the consulate but from what I can remember when I had dealings with them, they weren't the most helpful.  I hadn't thought of getting a flight to London, I'll look into that.

We have just begun her first visa period. It's still another 4 years until she gets her British passport.

Try Tangier Airport, then take a bus to Fez

i think its gonna be cheaper and closer to get to Fez from Tangier
