Marriage issues - Morocco

I arrived in Marrakech and started getting together my final documents. I attended the British Embassy and obtained my two documents from them. I then went to the adoul to see what was required in terms of my certificate of islam was concerned. E.g could my masjid in uk give me this or do I need one in Morocco. The response shocked me. The adoul clearly had an agenda, questioned my commitment to islam- because my name is not islamic and I am a white man. He was not too happy when I asked him, where in the Quran it said muslims need a certificate. Never the less, I left and found another adoul - mainly due to the fact my fiancees family are very well known within the area- who was more than helpful and reduced the amount of documents we needed Today I came to Rabat to collect my criminal record from Ministry of Justice. I ordered this online a month ago so it was ready to collect. I was told this cost a small fee, I may have been lucky but I was not charged anything. i then went to get my two documents from the British Embassy legalised. Again, this cost me nothing- not sure if this is normal or not. All that is outstanding now is the medical certificate, we will get these tomorrow. Then hopefully the adoul can start to process the marriage.

hello can you pls advice me on apostille that i needed for DSB and also i was born in pakistan but i m british citizen do i need apostile for my birthday certificate too? and if i do where do i do apostile please if you reply would be great help.

Hi, seeking some help and advice,

i have a DBS without any convictions as they are all Spent. I have an ACRO certificate with convictions dating between 1993-2011. I have not been in trouble since 2011. My fiance has spoken with the judge regarding my ACRO certificate who has advised her I must get a refund, they talk of rehabilitation or he will not agree to the marriage. I’m actually baffled as to what the court requires of me.

If anyone could shed any light it would be much appreciated.

hi i am someone who accepted islam many years ago and have a muslim name on my passport and every document, do i still need a conversion certificate and how hard is it to get ? i also have a deed poll which proves my name change. i have a conversion certificate from the uk. im confused if i need another one in morocco

@Vakil hi i accepted islam in 2018 and also have the certificate of conversion from that year with my old name to new muslim name which is on all my documents , my question is do i still need a conversion certificate from morocco, even though i already have a uk one?
