Becoming a teacher in an international school

Post new topic

Noe Perrin

Hello everyone, I am French and I would like to become a teacher in an international school in Germany

I'm not going to lie to you but this is the first time I've been to this site to look for information about the profession of teacher in an international school in Germany. Unfortunately, I don't know at all how to succeed and I also don't know what studies I should take. I would like, if possible, that you help me in this project because I am 16 years old and I want above all to succeed in my life, I stay online if you ever need more information. Thanks in advance

Cheryl

Like in most developed  countries in the world you will need to finish your schooling and get a university degree in education. And you will have to have a C1 level of German to teach in Germany, whether it is an international school or regular public school. In addition, one has to pass German state exams for teaching.

An exception to thee rules would be if one say teaches a specific subject at a language school or the Volkshochschule which is like a commmunity college in the USA. Or one could also tutor without a specific degree in education. But all of these alternatives are much less well paid
