@FionaZerbst we live just outside Caaguazu, which is about 180 km from Asuncion, and 140 km from the border with Brazil. We've lived in the Chaco on a dairy farm, in Capiata, just outside San Miguel Misiones, Coratei Misiones, and Caaguazu. We enjoyed Paraguay, no matter where we were, and we would not even think about leaving again. It could be easy or very difficult, depending on your attitude toward the locals. They are absolutely the best people you could come across if you treat them with respect. Caaguazu has about 100,000 inhabitants, but it feels like a smaal town. We have good supermarkets, banks, any kind of shops, restaurants and frequent festivals and happenings. We even have Bolt if you do not want to buy a car. You can catch a bus to just about anywhere without even planning ahead, and without delay.
