Post new topic

Hanney Bustami

Hi All: Yesterday, my husband went to municipal to gave his documents for resident permit. And he did not get any thing back from them, no any number or any registration number . So what he should do? how is he going to track his application status?.

maharaji1984

@Hanney Bustami most probably police will visit your address first and stadhuis will call you for further process.

As entire scenario has not been published it's hard to guess in which period you are in the process.

Hanney Bustami

@maharaji1984 i thought he should be given like annex19 when he submit the papers?

maharaji1984

Yes thats right. He should have an annex19 after police visit and confirm your adress. This will be with an invitation.

Hanney Bustami

@maharaji1984 ok, so basically the procedure is:

  1. Submit the papers
  2. Police will visit to check our resident ( schedule unknown? )
  3. then we will have to come to stadhuis for Annex 19 ?
  4. ?

And for inviting the family to join the spouse, can be only be request after the police check or after getting the ID kaart?.

for my VISA, I need document no 7 as list attach:

"Proof of free movement within EU: Belgian residence permit for EU citizen, attestation issued by the municipality,…

How to get this ? thanks for your advice.

maharaji1984

For inviting the spouse your husband might have the annex 19.

With free movement I guess they mentioned non eu citizens

But annex 19 is fine for your D type visa

When annex 19 issued he will make an appointment for residence card from website of stadhuis or they will give him a date.

Later on his post box a letter will come which contains pin puk code of residence card.

With this letter he will go to stadhuis and collect his residence card.

@maharaji1984 For My Case, my visa type is VISA C (  visa Directive 2004/038 ), had advice by Embassy Belgium in Jakarta.

Only on VISA C application had the choice for VISA Directive 2004/038 ( "Family reunion/marriage/legal cohabitation visa

with a EU citizen residing in Belgium ,visa directive 2004/38/EC both for short (-90d) and long (+90d) stay ) ").

Now he need to wait Annex 19 issued ? oh yes, my husband had the job with job agency, and they can only issue the job contract base on weekly bases. What to do?. He had talk to the job agency to give him a full year or interim contract that state he will be contracted for 6 months ( during interview they said the job is interim for 6 months). However they refuse, they said, they can only give weekly contract.

maharaji1984

It does no matter, normally for eu citizens 6 months contract or less than 40h per week is enough (what I have been told in gemeente)

Its first time I have heard given C type of visa for family reunion.

If I were you I would apply for a visa as. Long as your husband get annex 19

Good luck

Hanney Bustami

@maharaji1984 yes, i reconfirmed with embassy , and I had said, i need to stay more than 90 days. while Visa C is short visa. And they reply to me that "Family reunion/marriage/legal cohabitation visa with a EU citizen residing in Belgium ,visa directive 2004/38/EC both for short (-90d) and long (+90d) stay ) ") fall on VISA C. and Yes Visa C is short Visa.

You can visit their website for visa appointment on following link  https://visaonweb.diplomatie.be/

Select : Short VISA

Then go to travel information : Family Visit , then  Select Travel purpose, there will selection information type of travel purpose on : EU Family directive 2004/38/EC .

While if you select Visa D, there is not this directive 2004/38/EC  for travel purpose.
