Hello everyone,

As we navigate the exciting world of living and working in the United Arab Emirates, it's essential to make informed decisions about our financial future.
We’d love to hear about the different investment options available for expats: how to invest in the United Arab Emirates or in your home country, explore international options or use online accounts.

To kick off the discussion, here are some guiding questions:

What are the investment opportunities as an expat in the United Arab Emirates? Are there any specific investment programs?

In your opinion, what are the advantages and disadvantages of investing internationally ? How is your experience with international investments?

What specific points should you consider regarding your investments as an expat (exchange rate management, international tax obligations or repatriation of funds)?

Do you use specialized banking services for expats, such as multi-currency accounts? What are the pros of these services and how do they help you with your finances?

How is the property market for expats? Are there any specific regulations or aspects we should be aware of when investing in real estate in the United Arab Emirates?

What strategies do you apply to save and invest for your financial future in the United Arab Emirates and/or to secure your children's financial future?

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us!

What are the investment opportunities as an expat in the United Arab Emirates?

there are vast area of investments, In my personal opinion, the secure long term investment is in the real estate. The ROI is approx 9%

How is your experience with international investments? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Not satisfied, for a trial basis i had put sum of the amount with one of the local bank to manage the portfolio, its now two years I don't see yield instead its lowering. The major disadvantage is the fluctuation of the currency

Do you use specialized banking services for expats, such as multi-currency accounts?

No, infact, take you the time of EURO indulging to the basket, I had purchased  large sums with an intention to secure good amount but unfortunately currency value was dropped so dramatically causing losses

Its nothing other than my own experience, I know some of the investors gain a lot but again you have to bind for long terms. I am very comfortable investing in UAE with good amount of income  sufficient to lead a good life.
