Taxes when NL resident but work in Russian Federation

Post new topic

Polarina

Hello,

May I ask a question, do I need to pay taxes in NL, if I'm going to get temporary residence in NL (my partner is NL citizen), I'm going to continue working in Russia and spend in NL less then 183 days per year (because of work)? And if yes how many %?

Thanks!

@Polarina

My understanding, Polarina, is that you will have to declare your Russian income on an NL tax return, whether you pay tax depends on whether there is a double taxation treatie between Russian and the Netherlands. The 183 day ‘rule’ applies only if you are not a resident in the Netherlands.

I’m going through similar challenges myself so happy to share.

good luck
