A lot of how you perceive the temperature and humidity depends on the climate from which you arrive.

Vietnam has a topical climate, so yes, temperatures and humidity levels are normally high.

If you are a world traveler, then probably it is worth visiting just to see and experience the country firsthand for yourself.

There are three regions: north, central and south. I'd recommend avoiding the largest cities except for flying in/out. They're not very stress-free. There is a very long coastline and several islands and a couple of famous spots in the mountains that are more relaxing and at least offer some stunning scenery. Accommodation and food are generally good value as well as domestic flights. Unless you are riding around on a motorbike, it's a safe place.

Some negatives include scams, rubbish and over-development. Also, most of the year, there are tropical storms and monsoons, so it's likely that at some point, you'll have to deal with some heavy rain.
