Dear All,

I recently got my Belgian citizenship,

My wife currently has a Residence permit A card which has to be renewed yearly.

This A card is going to be expired soon and hence she applied for its extension.

Can she request directly for the F card, during this process ? (or)

Is there a separate process for applying for the F card ?

If yes, is it similar to the "newcomer" registration ?

My commune is Antwerpen, but antwerpen.be is not giving much info on this.

Thanks,

Bala

Spouse can apply when she has still valid an A card or during renewal process of it.

For F card application current work status of spouse will not taken into account. However end of the process A card will be taken by commune.

. Minimum 6 month contract of eu citizen  will be asked in commune and spouse will became dependant on eu citizen.

I am in the same situation, How did you applied for the F card? Was there any orange card between the transition?
