Hi, can I have one of your April appointments if possible please?

Hairy_Beardo

Hi, I have finally managed to get an appointment for May 9th in Rabat at 10am but this is quite late. I ideally need an appointment by mid March if not sooner. If anyone is happy to swap with me I would be incredibly grateful 🙏🏼

Hairy_Beardo

@Yasmin21

Do you still have an April appointment you can give? I've managed to get one for May but I need one as early as possible. If you can help me out I would be very grateful.

Hi,

I just got off the phone to them aswell, said the same, every 2 weeks, the last two dates that got released and was taken straight away 8th and 9th of may was yesterday, so will it be another fortnight till they release 10th and 11th may etc? I'm super confused. And both Marrakech and Rabat seems to be symmetrically getting booked.

anniesmith2821

@LV-Ali

Unfortunately they do get booked quite quickly- I got mine around 12:15 am on tuesday as thats what time they release them. Usually they only release 3 appointments for one day but there were still one left till around 12:30am if thats of any help to you. I hope you manage to get one!

LV-Ali

@anniesmith2821 that's great I'm happy that you managed to find a booking. Prior to that release when was the last release dates, was it 2 weeks before? Just to understand the pattern of release...thanks

anniesmith2821

@LV-Ali

i saw from previous comments what times they were released, but honestly it was just from constantly checking. they did release some last Saturday night and the times i mentioned but i missed out as wasnt prepared, but it seems to be they're releasing them now- i didnt find any before last sat. hope that helps :)

LailaDe

People need to stop booking up appointments they don't actually need. It's hard enough to get an appointment without Sally saying "I booked this date but don't need this date I need to swap for this date" ... getting ridiculous.

Hasnatri

@LailaDe  , indeed

@LailaDe

You're right, it's just selfishness. But the embassy shouldn't allow you to book appointments without some sort of reference number and should only permit 1 appointment at a time. The whole booking system is shocking. All the best to those who are trying to get an appointment.

Having seen the forum and the long delays in consulate dates we are in process trying to expedite matters.

My fiancé spoke to an adoul  in Morocco today and was advised that an certificate issued and legalised in the uk stating ability to marry is acceptable.

To that effect, I have booked today an appointment with the registrar in my area jn the uk to give notice of marriage

Subsequent to that appointment to give official notice to marry abroad and after 29 days, a certificate of no impediment to marry will be provided.

This in turn will be certified by a solicitor and forwarded to the FCDO to apostille and legalise for use in Morocco

Using an approved agent recognised by the fcdo enables both actions to be taken and documents returned in 2-3 days with cost £94

The copy of the passport is also legalised separately for a further £94 cost  as well as any others you may wish

Admiringly this is substantially more than the normal consulate cost for the same but for us it’s the time waiting that makes it an option that we wish to take to avoid further delays considering the visa process is even more waiting .

I’d suggest individuals if considering to take this route first contact an adoul in the district they wish and can marry  in (depends on residence of other half) and get prior confirmation  from them that district judges in their area accept this alternative method to prove the same

Anafarrah

Salaam all I hope you are all well ?

I had a quick question wondered if anyone can help.

I know a couple has to get married with 3 months of the affirmation.

But does anyone know if its within 3 months from the date for example 1st March the 3 months would end 1st June ?  Or does it mean within 90 days of the 1st March ?

The above really shouldn't make a difference but in this case it does as I don't want to the start the process again if the Ladool calculates 90 days and we calculate using months.

If anyone knows an answer would be appreciated

Thanks

Anafarrah

Hello /Salaam All

I wondered if anyone has an appointment for the first week of March that they would like to swap for April Inshallah

Please DM if you do much appreciated

Best wishes

manahilkhan

Hello/Salam,

Does anyone have any appointment they can swap with me for February or March. I have Mid-End of May appointment available to swap.

If you are 100% sure you are not going to use an upcoming appointment, i would be grateful if you can inform the group/swap as even though you may not use the swapped date, it may benefit someone else as you are also not planning on actually using it.

Hope we all find our dates inshAllah.

Best wishes,

Mani

@LailaDe

I agree with you, however, I turned up to the Marrakech consulate 2 weeks or so ago, who advised they can change the date for you if you have a date and booking confirmation, hence having booked a May date, despite planning and needing a date now - Feb time.

Check for dates at 12am - 2am. My appointment was found by my partner at 1:50am on 23rd Jan, which was a Tuesday AM.

I have a May date now even though my wedding is scheduled in April IA.

I have also as a back up and following another persons advice on here:

  • Contacted my local register office
  • applied for an appointment to get a CNI - Certificate of no impediment - this can take 30 days from the appointment to get the certificate
  • Then will apply to legalise the document which be done in 1-5 days.
  • Get my DBS/ACRO police criminal record certificate ordered
  • Get my birth certificate original copy ready or order replacement from register office

  • The medical and moroccan police check I will do in Morocco when i go back.

I have asked my Fiancé to contact his Adoul again to confirm if the above alternative process can work. But there is a reason people are booking in dates they don't need, and tragically is due to the lack of appointment/staff availability in the embassy and consulate office. If we are paying for these appointments, they clearly have many peoples money stacking up, so should seek to implement alternative provision in place to increase capacity for the poor service they offer at present.

manahilkhan

@anniesmith2821

Yeah, my partner found ours on a Tuesday 1:40/50AM ish. So defo seems to be a common time the appointments are released. He did mention they get booked instantly.

I have appointment for May but need Feb, if anyone has anything to swap. If I no longer need mine, i will cancel.

Anafarrah

@manahilkhan

Salaam/Hello

Do we actually need all the documents you highlighted above ?

I thought we just needed a Police check a letter from employer stating where we work , start date and how much we earn and 3 months pay slips.

anum1

Hi guys i an still not able yo secure an appointment. anyone able to help me with this. everytime i check there is no availability

Yasmin21

Yasmin21

GuestPoster19021

@anum1 do you still need appointment ?

didi1998

Hey guys, does anyone know how long it takes for the embassy to give you the documents? do they give it to you on the same day of appointment

Zohaib191

I booked an appointment but they never asked me for a payment now, do i pay on the day at the consulate?

Yasmin21

@Zohaib191 Yes, I believe so. It says on their confirmation.

Zohaib191

how can i change the name of the person who will attend the appointment at the consulate in Marrakesh? I no longer have the email they originally sent me but i have the booking reference number.

Yasmin21

@Zohaib191b you update it on the booking confirmation that was sent via email.  Why don't you have the booking confirmation? Have you swapped with someone? If you don't have email then call the embassy.

Zohaib191

@Yasmin21 I have a screenshot of the booking reference but I don't have the email any longer as my email address was hacked and everything was deleted

Rizwandirect
