How long does it take to be issued an eVisa ?

Have sent emails to the Brazilian Consulate and they are responding that they were not issuing visitor visas yet. I read that the reciprocity doesn't exist as of Oct 1st 2023 and will need to have a visitor visa, but....you can do it online. Trouble is we are flying in early part of Oct. How long does it take to be issued an eVisa that is linked to your passport. Supposedly is fairly simple. Is this accurate? Cutting it too short for me and the consulate is not a big help with any forthcoming info. Any suggestions?

08/04/26 @56tbourne.  From which Consulate will you be requesting a visa?

Same situation so I changed my flights to be earlier. A buddy of mine said the process should be relatively quick if it's online 24-72 hours max; however, nobody seems to know what volume they will need to deal with beginning October 1. I know this doesn't help much, but I received the same info from the Brazilian Consulate Office in Medellin.
