Visa D documents - New PCC and Medical needed if expires

Post new topic

ratheeshps

Hi,

I have received single permit and permission of stay for Belgium long term visa from INDIA. Now I have to apply for D Visa. Our visa  team mentioned PCC and Medical is required for processing. I have got PCC and medical documents attested in January 2023. It was used for WP processing. Now it is expired. Can I reuse these docs for Visa?

Should I get new PCC and medical certificate and get it attested?

If I apply with expired documents, will they reject during screening at VFS global?

Kindly advise

Lesline Nasse

U can't re-use.

Documents shouldn't be old more than 6 months for the medical certificate and more than 3 months for the police clearance.

Unfortunately u need to renew before applying for your visa otherwise they'll reject your application.

Wish you all the best!

Should both documents get legalized too?

Lesline Nasse

@ratheeshps only your New PCC need to be legalize at the ministry of foreign affairs in your country and then by VFS global  or at belgium ambassy once you are ready to submit your application.

U need to be fast coz you don't have enough time. If you didn't book for appointment yet do it now... To catch the time.

Best of luck.

@ratheeshps Yes my friend, it is true, you need these document?

@Lesline Nasse Thanks, applying PCC. Sorry for asking why we have to hurry, any time limit?

@ratheeshps You DON"T need to get PCC & Medical again. Some of the VFS personals in India are confused and they don't know the stuff. You have to tell them that the Ministry in Belgium does not accept Single Permit application without these documents and they DO NOT issue SP with out having submitted these documents. At the time of asking for D-visa you need to submit the approval letter from the Ministry (Which is already sent to Belgium Embassy in India Delhi / Mumbai). It did happen with some of the consultants and when I told them to mention this, they accepted the file.

Thanks. Mahendra

As you said, I have not submitted the PCC and Medical again as it was not required.

Got my Visa D in next 7 days.
