Mixed Marriage French/indonesian in France in trouble.

Hello everyone,

My name is Mathieu i'm a french citizen who met an indonesian woman called Era in early 2023 and i've been in indonesia for a month already.  We want to get married in France. I hope the indonesian community will be able to help us.

We have 2 big issues.

The first one is : The Schengen VISA.

We are planning to apply for a "tourist" visa (90 days)  with a "attestation d'accueil" and a sponsorship. (provided by myself). But we cannot find an accurate information about the "reason" for the applying VISA. Should we check Mariage ? vacation ? visiting friend?  I read that the french Embassy in Jakarta are super rude with the VISA. (BTW, we sent many mail to this embassy and they never replied)

Also, the city hall (in France) is asking for a specific document for indonesian citizen called : "certificat de coutume"

From what i found, it's an official document that the Indonesian Embassy in Paris can provide. however, before applying for this document we need to gather document in indonesia and make them "officialized" by the Ministry of law and human rights in indonesia and also by the French Embassy in Jakarta.

My question is obviously, if we do this kind of process while applying for "tourist visa + "Visiting Friend" we are afraid that the French government decline our request ?

What kind of VISA should we take ?

Does Era still need a lot of money in her Bank Account if we apply for sponsorship (and relationship link)

Any indonesian who live in France for helping us ?

Best regards,

Mathieu and Era.
