@Sandelcubas

You dont need a certificate of resident, i just got married this week. I put my biometric residence permit in the documents. But when they ask about residence they just refer back to your passport for nationality.

Obtained Medical Certificates: Both me and my fiancé have undergone medical examinations and received certificates from Dr in Agadir.

Criminal Records Check: Both of us have obtained criminal records checks from Agadir court.

Court Visit: We visited a court in Agadir, where we were given an envelope containing further instructions.

Police Station Visit: We followed up at a local police station and were instructed to return next Friday to collect documents. My fiancé will collect them on that day as per instructions of a lady at the station.

In the meantime I need to leave for UK for some work, is it alright if I come back after few weeks and we follow up from next step going to court and Adul. Till what time i can do that, as all main tasks are finished. @Benson Harrison

Hi Benson, ..Thanks a ton for all ur advises. I have a question. I applied PCC at VFS (Hounlow, UK). I selected "Others" as the Option and typed in "Marriage" as the reason. But this got returned from HCI asking me to change the option from.the drop down as they don't issue PCC for marriage.

The closest one is see i see is the " immigration other than citizenship" option.

How did this work for you. ? Can u pls enlighten us on this too. Which option did you select?

Also, Shoukd I take a PCC from UK govt? Been here almost 4 years and on work visa.

Pls advise . Thanks a ton mate.

Hi Benson,

Thanks a ton for ur advises mate!. Really helpful.

A quick question. What option did u select on purpose for PCC ? I had selected " Others" and mentioned reason as "Marriage". But it got returned by HCI mentioning that they don't issue PCC for marriage.

They said closest one is " Immigration other than citizenship"

Is this something u cane across too? Was there any issue in Morocco regarding this?

Thanks a ton in advance.

I have obtained a Single Status

Certificate from India, but now I need a document called a Certificate of Capacity to Marry. I'm not sure what this document looks like or where to get it, and I'm struggling to navigate the paperwork. Could someone please assist me with this process? Any guidance on obtaining all the required documents would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You guys like torturing yourselves, don't you!

Get married *overseas* - say, in Gibraltar (same day marriage, with MINIMAL paperwork, and certainly no medicals or police interviews) - and then *register* the marriage in Morocco, a straightforward, quick, cheap procedure.

Are they making your wife-to-be have a 'medical' (i.e., 'virginity') check......?!??!??! Mediaeval.

Great post !! I have one question about single bachelorhood certificate. Would they apostille it on the white paper or should we it print it on stamp paper? Recently some posts made me worried since I would not be able to give my signature if it's being drafted in a court in india
